I receive a Windows Installer error when I try to uninstall or install SUPERAntiSpyware. What do I do?

NOTE: SUPERAntiSpyware cannot be installed or uninstalled from Safe Mode. Please make sure that you are in Normal Mode before attempting to install or uninstall SUPERAntiSpyware.

This error is caused by a problem with the Windows Installer and is not directly related to SUPERAntiSpyware. The error you are receiving may look similar to those listed here:

Error 1305. Error Reading from file...
Error 1316. A network error occurred...
Error 1772. There is a problem...
Internal Error 2103...
Internal Error 2203...

We would first recommend that you use the Microsoft Windows Installer CleanUp utility to uninstall SUPERAntiSpyware, then reboot your PC.

If SUPERAntiSpyware is installed and running, make sure that you exit it before you attempt to uninstall.

To exit SUPERAntiSpyware, right-click the SUPERAntiSpyware system tray icon (the orange/brown bug running near your clock) and select "Exit" from the menu.

After you run the Windows Installer CleanUp installer, "Windows Install CleanUp" will appear in your Start menu's list of installed Programs. Run the utility. Select each reference to SUPERAntiSpyware FREE or Professional in the product list displayed by the utility, and click the "Remove" button. Follow the instructions, making sure to reboot after the uninstall process has completed. You may have to run the CleanUp utility multiple times to uninstall all instances of SUPERAntiSpyware.
